how to make one time changes in payroll in qmac2015 ?

I have a recurring payroll transaction with splits for taxes etc. The amounts often change. In Windows I could edit the transaction as I entered it. In Mac 2015 it looks like I have to enter the transaction with the numbers wrong, and then go back to it and edit the numbers to correct it. If I edit the amounts first, it changes all future transactions without giving me a choice to change current transaction only. Am I missing something? The Windows arrangement was better.

    You are missing something ;-)

If you click on the Paid or deposited icon in the toolbar, the transaction is posted exactly as it is setup.

If you double click the scheduled transaction, and choose the mark as paid option, this will take you to the transaction that will post. Edit details as you like, and it only affects this instance.

The Edit option you see is not for marking transactions as paid-it is for altering the boilerplate scheduled transaction details. You only use that option to change all future instances (which sounds like what you are doing)

You can take a look at Scheduled Transactions and Paychecks (you might have to scroll over to see them)

Thank you.  I think Mac Quicken would be easier for me if I had never used Windows Quicken.

New users pick it up because it acts more like a modern app.

Long term Mac users who are expecting 1988 have more problems; they are flummoxed with new fangled things like drag and drop. :-)
