SW: Quicken Premier for Windows 2017, latest version.  I am attempting to sell all investments in an account.  The box labelled "sell all shares in this account" is grayed out. I have selected the Account in my investment screen>ENTER TRANSACTION>SELL SHARES, but the box remains inactive.

You must "sell all" each security separately.  You can't sell everything in an account in a single transaction ... unless there is only a single security in the account.

SO, try inputting a security name ... and then the "Sell All" should become active.

That box is really "all shares for the security you specify".  Once you identify a security you are long it will be available.  It is not intended to sell all shares of all securities in an account.
