Allow re-ordering of split lines via drag and drop

CrashmeisterCrashmeister Member ✭✭
It would be most useful to be able to re-order the sequence of lines in a split transaction.

I have some large splits, and sometimes the matching statement changes. Having the split lines in the same sequence as the source document (statement/payslip etc.) makes it far easier to match details or find anomalies.

Thanks,
Craig.

What kind of transactions? Like for credit card or other long statements there maybe another way you should be entering it instead of splitting it out.

Here's one example: my paycheck. The payroll service just changes the order of deductions on the check stub from when I originally set it up, so I either live with it out of order in Quicken or take time to manually re-do the splits to match the order on the check stub. It would be great if Quicken let me re-order the splits instead.

That's a good question for Crashmeister. In my case, it becomes a need when something changes on a pay stub. My current pay stub gets split into 20 lines. When there's a minor change, it's a pain to recreate it from scratch.

Credit Card is an account, not a split. Pay stub is a good example. Anything with line items that change may infrequently but are a major PITA to re-order.
