Transaction Duplication Beeps, at-first

Bob@37[email protected] Member ✭✭
From what I know so-far, I think that Quicken on an iMac works greatly.  [I use v4.6.6 Build 46.1938.100.)   But one, minor thing about Quicken bothers me, a-little.

When I try to Duplicate a transaction ([Command]+D), then Quicken just Beeps with a Screen Flash.  Quicken does Nothing More.  :-(

But hey, when I try to Duplicate a second-time Right-away, it works.  :-)

This problem strikes me as Weird, Minor but-Weird.  Has anyone else seen this?  Thank you.

P. S.  Here is additional info, which I tell but is likely un-important:  my iMac uses a solid-state drive.

It is normal for it to beep if there's no transaction selected. Are you sure you had a transaction selected (dark blue) the first time?

What happens if you use the menu instead of the keyboard shortcut?

Rick0, you asked:  "Are you sure you had a transaction selected (dark blue) the first time?"  < Yes. >

Sometimes striking [Command]+D works, _but_ sometimes it fails.  One could say that this problem is Intermittently Fun.  That is Life, I guess!  :-)

The original post is about a month old. Have you since updated to 4.6.7 (the current version)? Never heard of this before, so I'm not really thinking 4.6.7 will fix it.

I guess the test will be if it activates the first time always from the menu. If so, it's really sounding like a keyboard (physical) issue. Do you use Command-D in any other programs? Have another keyboard you can try? Use the Command key on the other end of the keyboard? Do you have any keyboard macro utilities installed.

If it's not registering the Command key being pressed, and just registering the D (with nothing open for edit), you will get the same response: a beep.
