Doing year-end reports for tax deductions and want to double-check receipts vs. report.  It is very hard to do without check #s in the report.  Any suggestions?

Do you have the Check # column displayed in the register? If the check number column is visible and check numbers have been entered, they should show up in the report

I do have the check # displayed in the Register.  If the report I select is "Last Month" or the "Monthly Summary" the check #s display.  But if I choose "Category Summary" or "Payee Summary" the check #s don't show.  I have the Mac 2015 version 2.4.1.

[mention://2111889 @jwheff] You have a different question and also it is about Windows Quicken not Mac.  This thread is about Mac which is totally different than Windows Quicken.  So please start your own new question and give your own details like which Quicken version you have, etc.

Thanks Quicken Dave and volvogirl. But where else can I go to find an answer my original question or find a fix? As I said, I do have check # column displayed and check numbers entered in register. They display only on Last Month or Monthly Summary reports.

I will assume that you are using the Category Summary Report. Unfortunately, displaying the Check # is not an option in this report. As you have noted, it is only available in the reports This Month and Last Month.

An option might be to use filters in your register(s) and and generate a series of views that include the desired transactions to use in your review process. Not at all elegant but the best I can come up with given the current state of development for QMac2015.

Thank you. I guess we will have to wait and see if Quicken continues to do updates to the Mac version.

What I did to display check number in my report is to put the check number in the Check # column and in the Memo/Notes column.  When I open my report I check the box Show Memos/Notes under "Update view to show me:"

For quicken for the Mac, I do not understand why Quicken Developers cannot add the Check Numbers to all reports, or at least give you the option to display and print check numbers with any report.
