Quicken Mac does not show dividends as income in Overview report (29 Legacy Votes)
In Quicken for Mac 2016 (3.5.2), there is apparently no way to include Investment: Dividend Income, as "income" in the Overview - Net Income chart. This is true even if "All Accounts" (including investment accounts) is checked.

- income and dividends
- long term cap gain distributions and short term cap gain distributions from mutual funds.
It should also have a tax deferred section, which should include the cash inflows from the same two transaction types, but from all accounts in the retirement section. If you do not click VOTE at the top of the page, your vote will NOT be counted! Your VOTE matters!

The "Overview Income" screen, right next to the "All Transactions" at the top of the accounts list, should show ALL cash inflows. This screen should be available as a report. It should have four sections, sorted by how the income is taxed.
First, in a currently taxable section, it should list cash inflows from all accounts in the Quicken for Mac 2017 brokerage section, and also from self custodied securities, for the following four transaction types:
- income
- dividends
- long term cap gain distributions from mutual funds, and
- short term cap gain distributions from mutual funds.
Second, in a tax deferred section, it should include the cash inflows from the same four transaction types, from all IRA and 401k accounts in the Quicken for Mac 2017 retirement section.Third, in an already taxed section, it should include the cash inflows from the same four transaction types, from all of the Roth IRA accounts in the Quicken for Mac 2017 retirement section.
And fourth, in a capital gains section, it should have info on short term and long term realized capital gains, and, in a separate list, on short term and long unrealized capital gains from all accounts in the Quicken for Mac 2017 brokerage section, and also from self custodied securities.
