Questions before purchasing Quicken 2018 Starter (upgrading from 2006)
I'm getting ready to purchase Quicken 20185 Starter and have a few questions (1) Does Quicken 2018 Starter support multiple users of the one database? (2) Is there different levels of security limiting multiple users access to data or functions? (3) Is the user of the mobile app tied to the user of the desktop software? Meaning could I be the primary user on the desktop and my husband access the software through the mobile app?

#2 No, once in, everyone has same access
#3 QMobile is tied to a Quicken data file of which you can have multiple files, but they are all accessible since they are all tied to the same Quicken Id.
Further about QMobile, it is an app that allows you to display the accounts synced to the Quicken Cloud Account (QCA). Along with displaying, you can enter transactions, but you have to have internet connectivity since the data is kept in the QCA and not the mobile device. QMobile is very limited in what can be done.
About Starter Edition, it only deals with banking, credit accounts and budgets, NO investment or loans. If the subscription lapses, SE goes into READ-ONLY mode and does NOT allow entry of any new information by ANY means.

Knowing that I have no choice than switching to an annual subscription model, I would like to have the best price possible to convince me to upgrade.
My question is "Why there is no two years subscription option for the Canadian version of Quicken H&B 2018?". Is there such discount as 40% offered for Canadian customers and, if so, how can we be notified about it?
I don't know if you can buy Quicken at third party retailers, Amazon, etc, but shop around for the best $/month price.

Unfortunately, Amazon sells only the US Version subscription. With 3 free additional months for a 2 years subscription (total 27 months), it would be interesting.
But at least Quicken should offer the same 2 years choice to Canadian clients unless they also promote the "Buy America First" policy so popular these days!
IMHO, As a long time Quicken client, I find that not being able to save $100 on a 2 years subscription is not fear.
Personally, I think they should make the Windows version dual country like the Mac version and then make the same deals available to both groups.
