I use multiple categories for the same payee - for example I use Walgreens for medical (prescriptions), household goods, even the occassional groceries. Autofill was TERRIBLE idea.

You already have it on a Mac Quicken (perhaps WIN if that if yours). One selects from a drop down list above the register which categories to show online.However, this Quicken seems to have worked hard to muddle up the simplicity of what Intuit had achieved.

Well, like the rest of the 'New Quicken" the choice on the drop down menu did not have a choice for plain Quicken without the bells and whistles. I do not connect to any bank online, I do not download translactions, or keep "books" . . . I have my own system that worked with the Intuit Quicken that did not put my private information at risk to hackers or viruses. Just did the best I could with the common sense I was born with and a good education from way back when.
