how to copy paste transaction in Quicken 2017 Mac when merging two credit card accounts
Hello, I am getting a new credit card after the current one was compromised recently. The same problem happened about a year ago, so now I have two credit card accounts for the same account but with different numbers (and will soon have three). I found forum info on how to link two accounts and this was a dismal failure in Quicken 2017 for Mac. I also saw where someone suggested just copying transactions from one account and then pasting in the newer account. This seemed a simple solution but the copy command is greyed out when I select some transactions, and I can't find the command to copy transactions either. I suspect a lot of the forum advice is for the Windows versions of Quicken, so need something that will actually work for the Mac version. It's rather irritating that I can not get anything as simple as copy - paste to work. Thanks
p.s. I wonder if there is a more Mac-compatible/savvy alternative to Quicken available since Quicken 2015 and now Quicken 2017 have always been rather squirrelly.

Otherwise, you probably duplicated or eliminated credit card payment transactions that were made as transfers from your credit card. I would go through the recent credit card payments and make sure they show the transfer from checking correctly.
