Looking for planning tool that incorporates all recurring transactions
I need to project out daily balances for the coming year using data in recurring bills and income reminders. I want a line-item report with dates and balance from a single account from which all monies come and into which all monies go.
(That summary says it all, no need to keep reading if you know the answer.)
Some of the recurring bills are monthly, some annual, some every three weeks, and some, well, Quicken can't handle, such as every XX days or every 2 years (ironic since Quicken themselves offer 2-year subscriptions, it's not like they don't know SaaS comes in various renewal packages).
Setting aside those latter-mentioned shortcomings, I am trying to start a business and I need to know exactly where I stand on a day-by-day basis for the coming year. All the data are there. I can't find the report I want to generate from those data.

Wrong gear icon. Look a little lower on the right, just at the top of the account register.Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

Show Reminders in Register will show you the register line by line details and balance projections for the future date range you specify.

I can't find "Show Reminders in Register". I looked in:
* right-click on the account
* bills & income (that's the name they gave it, not reminders/ memorized transactions)
* Every item in the Tools menu.
On the basis of your post I'm sure it's somewhere, I don't know where. They probably think it's easy to migrate to their new UI, which demonstrates once again, they don't have a usability lab or even hallway testing.

I found another gear in the register itself. It has 1.7 zillion options. Which one do I want for this issue?
To take a screenshot in Mac please see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201361
Please create image files of type PNG, JPG or GIF only.
To attach the image here, start composing your reply in the "Type your comment" box at the bottom of the webpage. At the top of the text entry window you'll see a row of icons beginning with B I S
Click the "Attach image" icon. It will allow you to select and upload the captured image file from your computer. The captured image will be inserted at wherever the cursor is located in the text.
When it's on the clipboard, Ctrl-V should paste the image. Simple. One step. Easily implemented. It's not a challenging programming issue.
* If anyone is following and wants to know the faster ways, on Windows 10, Windows Key + Shift + S; or right-click on OneNote in the tray and select "Take screen clipping"; or if you want the entire front-most window, Atl-Shift-Ctrl-PrntScr (PrntScr by itself if you want the entire screen, all windows).
Sounds like Projected Balances is what you are looking for. It's basically forward looking cash flow based on the reminders you set up. The "Show Details" button opens a listing of each future transaction with the corresponding account balance. I use a custom date range of 2 years into the future, it automatically increments from the current day. It won't print or export to Excel; that is disappointing. The Show Reminders in register is one way, but tends to clutter the register and make it hard to use.
