Why can't I see my HELOC account when I connect to my bank?

I am trying to set up my HELOC account but when I connect to my bank I see my checking accounts but the HELOC does no show up.

What type of account, in Q, are you using for the HELOC? In Q, they're usually set up as if they were Credit Card type accounts ... NOT loans.
Also, what bank?  Some banks don't allow downloading of all account types.

  • I selected HELOC as the account type in Q.

If the account doesn't show up on the "list of accounts found at the bank" when you're trying to activate it,
the bank's support center or you at the bank's website need to enable it for downloading
    or
the bank doesn't support downloading for these account types.
    or
the account is so brand new, it hasn't even been set up at the bank yet.
For the time being, until you can find out the exact reason, I'd set this up as a manual account in Quicken with a $0.00 balance. You can always activate it later, if that's possible.

But what bank? So that we can lookup what it offers for downloads.

HMMM, because UCBI does appear to support downloads into HELOC accounts ... so back to UKR's suggestions of 2 hours ago and work thru them.

Just curious - what did you look at to see if this would download ?

Can I export financial information to Quicken or Quickbooks?
    Categories: Online and Mobile Banking

Yes, there is an Export function in the transaction list.

We offer export capabilities for Quicken, Quickbooks and Comma Separated Files. Select your account number from the Account Summary page. Select Filters. Choose Custom Date and enter the dates. Select Apply Filters and then, select Download above Apply Filters. Choose Quicken or QB.

    FIDIR.TXT
I also tried to set up, in my test file, a HELOC for UCBI, and it went as far as asking for my login info ... which obviously I don't have.

  • When I went to tools to set up a new account I selected HELOC and selected UCBI.com to find the account.  When uchi came back it only displayed my 3 checking accounts.

I think that we're to the point were you'll need to contact UCBI to see what they know.
It appears, from FIDIR.TXT and from my attempt to set up a HELOC that it should be available ... but, obviously, your experience differs.
