Is Quicken now exclusively a subscription service?

@mritter, Q has been a "subscription service" for many years now.Previously, the subscription ran from product issue date for approximately 3.5 years, until 4/39/xx, where XX equaled the named product year plus 3. At that time, all ability to download into Q, and Official Q Support ceased.NOW, the terms of the subscription have been changed to run from purchase date (if you buy directly from Q) or install date (if you buy from a 3rd party vendor).The length of the subscription also changed ... and that also varies depending upon where you purchased Q.BUT, the bottom line is that Q has been a "subscription product" for over 25 years.

QWin has been a "subscription"-based product for a long time, if not in name, at least in concept.
However QMac only became a subscription based product with the expiration of QEM back in April 2015 but not by standard expiration (it was good for over 5 years). Then QM2015 only expired Apr 30, 2018, with nothing else expiring until then. So for Mac users, this is a fairly new experience.Have Questions? Help Guide for Quicken for Mac

Yes if you want to continue access to online content. If you currently maintain manually and don't want/need online features, then there is no reason to upgrade.
