Just purchased Quicken Starter 2018 with 2 yr membership - activation code expired

    Thanks I called and they told me it is Amazon's problem.........returning to Amazon. Too bad Quicken lost a customer.....

    BUT, did you purchase from Amazon itself ... or Amazon's "Marketplace" website, where individuals can post items for sale?
    Because, if the latter, the seller may have used the code before passing it along to you.

    Actually, I would expect a different error message than "The activation code has expired" if the activation code had already been used. And it has been confirmed once again that Quicken 2018 activation codes do not expire. So. if it was a seller via the marketplace, it may be more the case that the seller acquired Quicken 2018 copies that were actually cancelled with Quicken whereby Quicken credits the original vendor, cancels the activation codes but does not require the physical return of Quicken 2018 boxes (as has just been communicated by Quicken Kathryn; for SUs only -> click here).

    Quicken can still honour such purchases with adequate proof. But as a fallback, at least with Amazon, the buyer has recourse.

    At the time NotACPA posted, I tried and could not access the link.

    I just tried again and am now able to access that link.
    I'm  referencing the "click here" link in smayer97's post of 7/10.  It sends you to an area  of this forum that only SuperUsers and Moderators can access.
    SO, what link are you referencing  ...  since you are apparently neither.

    That is why it said "for SUs, click here." (to make it easy for uninitiated SUs to find the reference). I tweaked it a little just now to try to make it more obvious.
