Update on not automatically entering downloaded transactions?

@Margin of Error Quicken rarely comments on what features will be delivered in the future, and never puts a timeframe on it because there are too many variables in development and testing.

There are are few positive nuggets of information we do have, however. First, the second thread you link above, with voting for this functionality, was changed to a status of "Under Consideration" a few months ago. Only a very small number of Idea threads received such a change, and while it's not a guarantee the developers agree and are committed to a change, it means it's on their radar, they've read the comments, and there's some reason for hope.

The other is that the product manager for Quicken Mac has indicated they are working on changes to enable user control over rules for renaming of downloaded payees and for rules for auto-categorization (i.e. memorized transactions). One or both of these is likely to be delivered fairly soon; due to the complexity involved, there may be incremental changes rolled out rather than one big change. These features are different than reviewing downloaded transactions, but they both relate to giving users greater control of what happens to downloaded transactions. 

P.S. Although you and others in the linked thread use the terminology "restored to Quicken Mac", I'd just note that this functionality is missing because it has never been built for the modern generation of Quicken Mac. It exists in Quicken Windows, and a form of it existed in the legacy Quicken Mac product on which development work ended in 2006, but Quicken 2015-2019 don't have it because the developers haven't yet addressed it. It may seem a matter of semantics, but for anyone reading this thread, it's just worth noting that this feature wasn't removed from Quicken Mac, or isn't  awaiting being restored to Quicken Mac -- it just hasn't yet been built for Quicken Mac.
