R20.15 Issues - large resolution screens, font sizes changing, & Windows 7 support

fukumotosfukumotos Member ✭✭
I am using Windows 7, 1600x900 Resolution and 150% the size of text.
I had serious problem with R19.55, then continue using R18.16.
Now R20.15 was released:
1) The Budget Report issues are resolved. Thank you.
2) It says "The known issues with Quicken opening in a small window or on the wrong monitor, when using multiple monitors, should be resolved with the R20.15 release."
However, there are a few issues:
In order to explain the issues 8 pictures are attached.
xQ18-1 Home Page of R18.16
xQ20-1 Home Page of R20.15, open first time
xQ20-2 Home Page of R20.15, Set View->Use Large Fonts and Reset it
xQ20-3 Home Page of R20.15, Click "-" to save and reopen
yQ18-1 an Account of R18.16
yQ20-1 an Account of R20.15, open first time
yQ20-2 an Account of R20.15, Set View->Use Large Fonts and Reset it
yQ20-3 an Account of R20.15, Click "-" to save and reopen
2.1) Look at yQ20-1. the fonts are very small. Then look at yQ20-2, the fonts are larger than yQ20-1. Why does the font size change?
2.2) Compare yQ20-2 with yQ18-1. yQ18-1 is much clear text and better view. yQ18-1 is horizontal expandable.
2.3) Look at xQ20-3. The bar graph gets larger and important info is pushed out. In order to correct this, you have to close and reopen the Quicken. Then, you will get xQ20-1.
3) I click Help->Check Updates. It shows "You have already the latest version of release R18.16" We can't update R18.16 to R19.55 or R20.15 any more. Is this true?

I have to continue using R18.16
Remember we continue paying HIGH YEARLYFEE, is it reasonable?

Is there anyone who has the similar problem using R20.15 with Windows 7?

    Hi @fukumotos ,

You are using Windows 7, which is going to be not supported by Microsoft in January, 2020 will probably spell the end of Support for using Quicken in that operating system.

The same thing happened with Windows XP as well.

I am using Quicken Subscription in Windows 10. Works fine.

If the Quicken works, the fee could be reasonable.

In order to use the updating Quicken, we must have Windows 10. Is this correct?
Is it true that Quicken will announce the Quicken for Chrome?

Quicken has specifically disclaimed such rumors.

    Hi @fukumotos ,

It depends on Quicken, Inc.'s decision, not the User's decision.

But since Quicken is all about Security, I would say the handwriting is on the wall.

    Also, see:  https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-run-windows-apps-on-your-chromebook/

"CrossOver won't run all Windows programs, but it runs many of them. For example, its supported Windows applications include Microsoft Office and Quicken."
