Cannot pull a successful Category Summary?? have closed out & restarted several times!!

I need a Category/Transaction summary for last year: it appears to have hung up on a single category - no matter how I customize, add/subtract, or restart the program.

    It's not clear to me from your description exactly what's happening. But instead of the Category Summary report, try this: Reports > New Report > Transaction Report > Select Rows = Category
