Changing the "Type" of a Security (Q Mac)

I’d like to know if it is possible to change the “Type” of a Security.
Some years ago I created an account for a UK Government investment issued by HM Treasury and listed on the London Stock Exchange.
For some reason I classified this as a “Stock”.
I now feel that the correct classification should be “Bond”.
In Window/Securities when I click on the drop-down menu in “Type”, the “Bond” option is greyed-out. "Stock" is checked.

Interesting. I spot checked a bunch of my stock securities and I can change them all to Bond. Perhaps there are some kind of transactions that aren't compatible in your file that are not in mine.
Have you tried creating a new Bond security and then merging with the stock to see what happens?Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s0 -
@QuickPeter, @RickO This change of security type apparently can be made in Quicken 2019, but not in Quicken 2017 which QuickPeter is running.
Like RickO, I checked my file, and in Quicken 2019 when I open a stock, none of the other types are grayed out...
... but when I do the same thing in Quicken 2017, I see that Bond, US Savings Bond, and Index are grayed out:

I had better upgrade to Quicken 2019 then! Ha-ha.

In the Securities window, click on a security then command-click on a another to have both selected. Then there is a Merge Securities button at the bottom of the page.Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s0

RickO, thanks that's helpful and seems straightforward.
If the merge does not work as expected, can I "undo" it to get my original security account back i.e. the one incorrectly classified as "Stock"?

Make a backup copy of your data file before you try. The “undo” functionality in Quicken is pretty good, but I don’t know if you can undo a security merge.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930

When I pluck up the courage to try this, I will.
In the meantime, I think I'll just live with the security description anomaly.
