how do i add a security to an account

A security can only be added to an Investment type account.1st you create the Security in Q. Do TOOLS, Security List (CTRL-Y) for this action.THEN, you either BUY or ADD the security to the account .. depending upon how you acquired it.This is all covered in Q HELP (F1)
