Unable to download from Schwab

For the last week I have been unable to download any transaction from my multiple Schwab accounts. I get a download error (500). HTTP-500 Error.

Typically with this type of thing I will give it a few days to correct itself (hasn't happened) before I go in and try to change the account setup. When I went in to change the account set up it said that it was unable to communicate with Schwab.

Ideas?

Thanks - I was able to figure this out. Looks like Schwab must have changed their security so that I need to disable my VPN to get downloads.

    Please verify:

Logon to your Internet account at Schwab's website and make sure that in your profile, Security Center, "Third Party Access" is set to "Allow".
Wait several minutes before you try to download from Quicken again.

Quicken Mac users: Make sure that your account is connected to Schwab using "Direct Connect" protocol.

Of course, all this assumes that you are using a supported version of Quicken 2017 or newer.

Thanks. I am on Quicken 2019 for Mac.

Third Party Access is set to Allow. I resaved it that way but still doesn't work.

Direct Connect is set up. Just for kicks, I tried to Change Connection Type and after I put in a login and password I received an error screen that says Oops, We're Having a Problem - Quicken Cannot Communicate With Charles Schwab and Co., Inc.

    Any other ideas?

If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone and request help.  Let them do a screen share session with you to review a download log file on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.

    Quicken Support:

    • To contact Quicken Support, please use this link only:
https://www.quicken.com/support#contact-support  and select Chat or Phone support.
Phone support is only available during posted business hours. The phone number can found at this website.
    • If you are eligible for Premium Support (purchased separately or included as part of your subscription to Quicken 2018/2019 Premier or HB&R) call the number that can be found at the top of your My Account page at https://www.quicken.com/my-account  (US) or https://www.quicken.com/canada/my-account (Canada) next to "Quicken Premium Support"  when you log in with your Quicken ID.
    • To start Chat, your browser must allow popup windows from https://www.quicken.com
    • Other links or phone numbers found elsewhere on the Internet, even in some posts or emails received from other Community members, may not be from Quicken or may not be up-to-date. Use those at your own risk.
    • Unlike other so-called "Quicken support providers", the real Quicken Support is free for all currently supported versions.
