American Express not allowing account set up after deactivation of downloads

:( I did the update that was mentioned in August back then and all worked fine. Now AmEx will not connect at all. I deactivated downloads again and tried to re-set up the account. It says it cannot even connect to AmEx. I know that I can connect as I am able o do it right now. This seemed to occur after a recent update. I had to re-enter most of my passwords and fix accounts. What is up and how do I fix this?? I doubt it is AmEx.

I think that only affects Quicken Connect method. I just tried mine set up with Direct Connect and it works fine. Direct Connect is free for Amex. You should change your connection type. As a general rule, Direct Connect is always preferable if the FI doesn't charge for it.Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s5

See the announcement that Amex is currently blocking all Quicken traffic while they perform maintenance. There's nothing you, or Quicken, can do until Amex finishes thier internal work.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
