The reports in QM2016 are much more limited than in the current subscription version. If you use reports, the result will have to be organized/subtotaled either by Category or Payee.
However, you can do this right in the register:- Click the All Accounts line at the top of the sidebar
- Under "All Accounts" make sure Transactions is selected
- Below that, click the Date filter, then Custom Dates and enter your date range.
- If you want to restrict to just certain accounts, you can sequentially click them in the Accounts filter.
- Use menu View > Columns to choose which columns to display.
- Click any column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse the sort.
- Click menu File > Print

Does Quicken show New Reports in the Report Menu? (I'm not sure if this was available in Quicken Mac 2016).
If so, select New Report and then Transaction Report. In the created report, select Customize and Custom Dates.0 -
