Quicken Release 24.14 extremely slow performance (edited for readability)

Along with many others, I began experiencing slowness back in December 2019.
A forum article recommended downloading and installing a Mondo Patch and disabling animation. I did that and performance returned to normal.
I believe a new patch was delivered in late January 2020; I'm guessing it was the GA of the patch I had previously installed.
At any rate, performance has been very poor since about January 27, 2020.
It can take 20-40 seconds to add or modify a single transaction.
It takes 10+ minutes to create a backup copy of my Quicken files on my own computer and about the same to sync to the Quicken cloud.
According to the "Check for Updates" link, I already have the latest update, 24.14.
Suggestions for next steps?

1. Perform Advanced Data File Troubleshooting. You can access super-validate by holding Shift + Ctrl keys while clicking Validate and Repair.
2. Perform QCleanUI Quicken software re-installation. Follow directions for QW2017 to rename or delete the specified folders. You might also consider the "Do Not Use Mobile" option during the re-install process; you can always add it back later.
3. Delete the following files that can get corrupted; they will be re-created when you open Quicken again-
C:\Users\[YourUserFolder]\AppData\Roaming\Quicken\Log\QW.log
The "_SyncLog.dat" and "OFXLOG.DAT" files that begin with your data file name.
4. Look at the number of entries in your Categories List, Memorized Payee List and Renaming Rules; if they are in the high hundreds, this will impact performance. If you store attachments, the index can get corrupted, in which case if Validate does not repair it, you may need to perform a Copy without them.
I've listed the steps in the order that are most likely to be successful. You can stop if one works. Make a backup copy of your data file before performing this process so you can revert if necessary.7

It took 2 passes with super-validation, both of which turned up some corrupted transactions that had to be deleted and re-created but performance is now back to normal.
