I need a balance sheet for my tax

There is not a built-in one at the moment. The closest would be to use the Net Worth over Time report or try to create something with the New Summary report.
Meanwhile, you can add your VOTE to Balance Sheet (aka Net Worth aka Accounts Summary) type report.
First, click on the underlined link above to go there, then click the little grey triangle under the VOTE count at the top of page 1 in the blue banner, so your vote will count (it may take a moment for your vote to register).(If the triangle is a solid black, your vote has been registered.)

The Summary Report isn't useful for this; it can show your income and expenses, but not account balances.
The last column of the Net Worth Over Time report does pretty much function as a Balance Sheet, so that's the cloest you can come.
I kept the books in Quicken for two non-profits that I was involved with. Depending how small and how complicated the accounts, the other alternative is to just create an Excel or Numbers spreadsheet as your balance sheet, pulling the values you need from Quicken.
