You can enter any transaction with a date in the future, including a split transaction. The same applies to a scheduled transaction. If you are creating a new scheduled transaction, click the Split button in the Transaction Details setup screen. I'm not sure if that answers your question?

Hey, thanks, would never have thought of creating a separate account for credit cards.

We hear lots of stories of people doing it the "split way" for years and when they finally switch over to a separate account, they wonder why they didn't do it a long time before.
