Quicken won't accept my credit union password. Why? Whats changed.

I have using Quicken to connect to my bank, Hughes Federal Credit Union for more than 20 years. Recently the credit union updated its systems and I have not be able to connect. The credit union wants the password to contain special characters and Quicken says it must NOT contain special characters. From my experience with applications programming for the last 45 years, this seems like a simple issue to correct. If it isn't corrected very soon, I will have to re-consider using Quicken to manage my finances.

@waroberts1943 - It's not that Quicken won't accept PWs with any special characters.  It's that Quicken can't use some special characters in PWs with EWC connections because they mess up communications protocol.  The list of restricted special characters can be found here:  https://www.quicken.com/support/password-vault-your-bank-could-not-use-password-you-entered.
The solution is to create a PW that includes special characters that both Hughes FCU and Quicken can accept.

I've tried every solution proposed in the links. None work. Someone has changed the password parameters Quicken will accept for Hughes Federal Credit Union. Quicken will only accept passwords for HFCU that do not contain special characters. HFCU will only accept passwords with at least one special character.
If there are any members who are on Quicken staff, I need help. The credit union denies any responsibility. Why is Quicken filtering passwords?

I have the same problem suddenly with Chase. Bank accepts password, but Quicken says the bank won't accept.
