    Hello @Ron K,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your question.

Unfortunately, Quicken for Mac does not currently have the ability for custom sorting of accounts in the Account List sidebar. Therefore, I'd like to refer you to this active Idea post regarding this topic instead which is currently marked as planned. If you would like to be notified of updates on this feature as they become available, you can go ahead and bookmark the thread by clicking the bookmark icon on the top-right corner.

Alternatively, if this is not quite what you are looking for and wish to submit your own request for something more specific, then you can create your own idea post

Our Development and Product teams frequently use our idea posts in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.

    I hope this helps!

You can't currently. The developers have indicated in one of the idea threads on this forum that they plan to create some form of custom account grouping in the future, but we don't know when that functionality will appear.

Meanwhile, what I do is add a prefix to my account names to control the order, like this:
      1-Checking
      2-Cash
      3-Visa
      4-Amex
I find this pretty unobtrusive and gives me the somewhat customized order I prefer. (This only works within existing sub-groups; you can't move an account out of the subgroup it belongs to any its type.)

Right now, you don't. It is something that the product manager has indicated is planed for future development.

For right now, you can't change which account group each account type is contained in. The only way you can affect the order of the accounts within a group is to rename them with perhaps a number at the front of the name, since they are sorted alphanumerically.
