How do I add a US$ ETF to my TFSA (Canadian) Brokerage Account Quicken file?

The Quicken account is in C$ but I can hold US$ ETFs (example ishares ICLN) in the brokerage account it represents. The Quicken account does not recognize the security in buy transaction and won't convert from US$ to Canadian $ for the security.

You can't hold anything denominated in USD in an account that's CAD.  You'll need a separate USD brokerage account for this security.
Q simply can't mix currencies in a single account.

You could try posting an IDEA post, and seeing how many votes it gets. If there's sufficient interest (and that's a non-trivia amount) Q MIGHT consider this.
But I'm pretty sure that it won't happen anytime in the near future.

I hope a future release will consider allowing US$ trades on a C$ account.
In a US$ trade for example the commission is in C$ the price in US$, Also more difficult to reconcile when an account must be split in two.
    Just a thought!
