Duplicate transactions

Almost every time I update my accounts there are some duplicate transactions from my credit union. I've read the help article. I haven't deactivated any account. If the credit union had change their "Changed Their Format for FITID" it seems like that would be a one time event. but I'm seeing the same transaction 3 time over 1 week. Sometimes I see the duplicate and remove it. A day or so later it shows up again. Any suggestions?

@helshaw55 Have you read the Support article on duplicate transactions?
Duplicate Transactions or Accounts Downloaded in Quicken Mac

Have you read the previous posts in this discussion? And tried the suggestions?

If you need more help, please provide:
    Quicken Platform and Version

    ... from Account Settings:
(Account) Type (Checking, Savings, ... Brokerage, ...)
    Financial Institution
Connection Type (Web Connect, Quicken Connect, Direct Connect)

    ... your individual situation
How long has this problem been going on?
Do you enter transactions into register before downloading?
Are the FITIDs of the duplicated transactions all the same, all different, or ???
Do downloaded transactions auto-match manually entered transactions, or are you manually matching via drag & drop, or are you just deleting the duplicates?
How often do the duplicates appear?
Do particular transactions get duplicated more than one time?
Any other details that may be relevant.

Usually it is best to create a new conversation and describe your individual problem in as much detail as you can. Otherwise, two problems that may not have the same cause / solution can get mixed up and confused, complicating finding a resolution.

Do you manually record transactions into your register as they occur?
And then, a few days later, when the check clears the bank, you download an apparent duplicate transaction?
In that case Quicken appears to be unable to correctly match the downloaded transaction to the register transaction. Drag the downloaded transaction over the manually recorded transaction to effect a match and remove the apparent duplicate.

    Paul:

In the account register, enable display of the column FITID. Make sure the column is wide enough to show the entire value - FITIDs can be quite long. If the values end in three periods (...) then the column is not wide enough.

Then, when you see a duplicate transaction, examine the FITID for the two transactions? Are the FITIDs the same? Or are they different?
