How do I reopen a closed account? (Q Mac)

I am trying to reopen a checking account that I had closed.

    In QMac, you can re-open an account as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, click the > symbol next to Hidden to expand the list of hidden accounts.
    2. Select the closed account you with to open.
    3. Click menu Accounts > Settings.
    4. In the Account Settings pane, click the Display Options tab
    5. Click the Reopen Account button

    In addition/alternative to the way @RickO mentioned, you can go to the Accounts menu and select Hide & Show Accounts…  This will show all your accounts, open and closed, and closed accounts can be re-opened with a simply click on the Reopen button.

    You can't reopen it.  That's why the program seeks confirmation that you indeed want it closed.
    What you CAN do, however, is to create another account in Q for this checking account ... and then copy over all of the transactions from the old account to the new.

    I suggest that you restore a backup file dated before you closed the account.
