How can I change my accouint number but contimue using the same Quicken file

I have to change my checking account to a new number. I want to continue using the Quicken data from my old account and just append new account transactions top former account transactions. How do I do that?

    The fact that you haven't been able to change the account number suggests that the account is setup to download from your bank.
    SO, the 1st thing that you need to do is to disconnect that account from download.
    Then, you'll be able to delete the account number in the "Account Details" dialog.
    Next, re-connect the account for download ... but when you get asked how to connect the (new) online account with Q, BE SURE to select LINK and use the dropdown to select your existing account.
