Finally succumbed to issues and created a new file. Selected large fonts for others in the household. When I opened the Help Window, the top and bottom are off the screen, so I cannot close it!!! Bad planning on developer's part... hope that can be solved soon!

    Alt+F4 will close the window.

As for the size of the window I would bet it is because you have violated the display requirements for Quicken.

For large fonts you need a resolution of 1280x1024 with Windows at 100% scaling.
If you use Windows scaling above 100% you have to multiple by it to get the min display requirements.  For instance 125% means multiple by 1.25 so the requirements are: 1600x1280.

Thanks... forgot about Alt+F4 - been a LONG time.

I'm running 1680X1050 with 100% scaling. Not sure what Quicken's larger font scale is, but it may be in the range of 1.25, maybe 1.5. Probably accounts for the wonkyness on some of the characters and window size.

    Good reminder!

Well that is strange since that dialog should have fit on the screen.

Interesting... thanks. Yep, I'm on the latest Quicken subscription version, too. Apparently, then, a bug with the window sizing - possibly not reading the resolution correctly or the window size algorithm once it's read the resolution? I have dual ThinkVision 22" monitors that are a few years old, but nothing else seems to have any heartburn with them - about as vanilla as it gets.

Well Quicken definitely has problems at times with such things.  Since they wanted to put control like the search up in the title bar where the standard Microsoft/Windows APIs don't allow such controls they actually have a "fake main window" that covers the standard one.  The result is that instead the standard routines handling the sizing and such of that window they try to do it all themselves and in certainly situations it is done wrong.

For instance I think the bug where they look at the "main display" for sizing even when Quicken isn't on the main display is still in Quicken.  But it sounds like you have two displays that are the same so that doesn't sound like it.

Thanks, Chris... wow, had no idea about the 'fake main window' - what 'groupthink' thought that was a good idea? BTW I did retry the help window and good 'ol Alt+F4 closed it just fine. Don't think I've used that key sequence in 15 years...

I'm embarrassed to say it didn't don on me until looking back at this you were referring to the Help window.  They have recently changed to a "Web" help system, and I did remember that that window seemed "big".  So I tried using Large Fonts, and they have violate their own spec.  This is definitely a bug.

For Large fonts all the windows/dialogs are suppose to fit if you have 1024 vertical, and that should include space for the system task bar.

It is in fact 1088 pixels high.

And I notice that you can't make it smaller, only larger.  It should start out smaller and be allowed to be smaller.

P.S. I submitted a problem report on this.  You probably want to do the same:
    Help -> Report a problem

Just reported the bug. Interestingly enough, when I selected Help, Quicken Help, with the Large Fonts, I did reproduce the error. This time, when I moved the left side of the window to access Help -> Report a problem, suddenly the title bar appeared. It definitely did not in previous troubleshooting. The only difference this time was I had invoked Large Fonts during the session versus opening the program already in Large Fonts. I'll be going back to regular fonts, again. The Help window is correctly sized there. Thanks again, Chrs.

It is unacceptable that Quicken cannot/will not fix this widely reported bug. We pay a subscription partly to have responsive repairs.

There are two different problems going on here.  One is the sizing of the windows when in large fonts, but the other is that the positioning of the window isn't placed based on the main Quicken window.

I have two displays with the main one on the right, and the second one on the left, both at the same resolution.  I run Quicken on the second display.  If I bring up help it comes up on the first screen not the one Quicken is on.

This is a common problem with Quicken, whenever the display configuration is anything other than one main display it is subject to placing windows in the wrong places and with the wrong sizes.
