Reset of Register Filters Returns to Top of Register

Is there a reason why, after using register filters, using the "Reset" button to reset (turn off) those filters, that the register automatically returns to the very top? Not sure why I need to see transactions from a dozen years ago rather than the current ones at the bottom. I notice that if I <manually> reset the register from "Uncleared" to "All Transactions" this does not happen - I stay at the bottom of the register (the most recent transactions).

I don't know what the programmer was thinking when they implemented this function, but I would sure appreciate if they changed it to:
When "Reset" is selected, scroll the register to the location which makes most sense, e.g.,
    • if register is sorted by ascending Date (most recent transaction at bottom), scroll to the bottom
    • if register is sorted by descending Date (most recent transaction at top), scroll to the top.
    • etc.
    Workaround:
After Reset, press CTRL-N to jump to the New Transaction Entry line.
