The line will only appear if there are future transactions.

If you haven’t already, you may want to verify the register is sorted appropriately:  open the register and select the Date column header

If you haven't already, I suggest you check the date on your machine.  Perhaps it is set to some date in the future.

I don't know where to go to check that. the date on my computer is today's date. Quicken puts in today's date when I enter a new transaction. The date and time on my calendar are correct.

On a Windows computer, the date should appear when you hover the mouse cursor over the time in the task bar.

But that doesn't appear to be your issue.  I'm out of ideas.

The date does appear in the taskbar and even when I hover the mouse over it.
Ok, Thanks for your help maybe someone else will have an idea.

Show us a picture. Make your register window as short as possible height-wise, and ensure transactions around today's date are visible. Capture a screen shot. Obscure any sensitive information. Show us the top header line (Date, Check #, Payee, etc.) and the bottom of the transaction list. Drag the screen shot into the message composition area in your next response.

I see a line. The image is blurry but it looks like it's in the right place.
