Quicken Requiring Password to open QDF file even though I never set a password

A few days ago I opened Quicken and my normal data did not load (was as if I was a new user). I then opened my QDF file and my data was there. Now, when I open quicken I am again see none of my data. When I navigate to my QDF file I am prompted to enter a password to access the file. I never set a password for my QDF (only a vault Password). I tried entering my quicken ID password and it says it is the incorrect password. I click "forgot password" and nothing happens. WTF is going on?
