Quicken R33.7 (Canada) is no longer working on Windows 7

Suddenly today, when launching Quicken on Windows 7, it asks for my ID and password. Next, the screen shows "Activate Quicken", which requires a 16-digit code. Support gave me several options to try but couldn't solve the problem. I was told that Quicken does not support Windows 7. Even though, it was running perfectly until a few days ago.

My question to the Community is: Has anyone experienced the issue described above?

    Thank you for your prompt follow up. It is:
    Version: R33.7
    Build: 27.1.33.7
    Edition: Canada

    The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.
    Update: I uninstalled Quicken, run QCleanUI.exe/MSIClean33.exe, renamed all the left over folders containing "quicken" and "intuit" everywhere in the HD, rebooted and installed Quicken again. The issue persists. I didn't search the registry though.

    Another update: Deleted all registry keys related to Quicken (a lot from older versions!). Same issue after reinstalling.

    Windows 7 hasn't been supported since Microsoft dropped support for it.
    And yes there have been reports similar problems.  I don't know if anyone has found a workaround.

    Am currently running Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit) with no issue (yet) ;)

    Quicken Premier (subscription)
    Version: R34.24
    Build: 27.1.34.24
    I'm a Quicken user since 1990.

    From the posts I have seen, the problems start if you have to reinstall, especially on a new machine.
    And have more to do with the licensing system (how to log in and such) than anything else.
