Back when I was traveling all of the time on business, I just backed up my home computer to a USB drive and then Restored from the USB drive to my laptop ... reversing the process when i got back home.
Much easier than fooling around with DropBox.

What file?  Your Quicken data file or a transaction import file?

I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

My backup file so I can keep two computers up to date. When I look on Drop box, I am getting the "need to be synchronized (circling arrows) symbol

That sounds like a problem with Dropbox, and they would have to help you with that.

I do that, too. Dropbox just seemed easier.
