The message is "Upgrading your Quicken data. Updating database". Yet no ball is spinning and there has been no change for about ½ hour now....

@NotACPA This is the message that comes up on QMac after you update to a new version of QMac that requires changes to the database. Normally it takes just a very few minutes to complete.

@figlio That is definitely not normal, even on an older slower machine. Did it ever complete? If not, I'd suggest you revert to the previous version of the Quicken app and restore the file that was backed up when you updated. After doing this, let Quicken do the app update again. You can find the previous version of the QMac app in your Trash folder. You can find the backup that was automatically made when you updated at /Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Quicken/Backups/Automatic Backups and named "BACKUP (Pre-Update) - filename date".
