Subscription renewal

My subscription expires at the end of this year. The renewal price is about $78 for one year. I can purchase a product Key for one year for $46, that's a $32 difference.
I'm just going to let my subscription expire, and a month later, install as a new user! Why should I pay a $32 premium because I'm an OLD user?

You'll need to create a new Quicken ID. Quicken now says that even if you let your subscription lapse for 30 days you are not considered a "New User".Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

I confirmed on chat with quicken support you are not a new user after 30 days. They did offer a 10% discount. I ask for 30% and we agreed on 25% off. This was about the same price as going to the store and getting the box version just for the code. Good luck.0
