Why doesn't Bills and Payments screen sort by date as previously?

The body, in a Community discussion, is the area where you input more information, to elaborate on the question you put into the title of the discussion.

And what makes you say that bills aren't sorted by Date?
Aren't the groups provided as shown below sufficient?
