Reconcile: Posting Date - Sort order

Every time I see this post, the discussion gets closed with no resolution. I get my statements from the bank in "Posting Date" order. I have complained about this for years. Recent posts I've read show that this is an issue with any column in the reconciliation window other than the Date column...no sorting is available. This seems that it would be an incredibly easy thing to fix, but nobody within Quicken has ever responded to this issue or even seems to care.

My Quicken is a recent install as I just bought a new computer. I see this as well on my father's computer (as I help him with his accounts). I have the latest release as of 28February2012 Quicken (Release R 31.20). I have also done the "catch-all" solution of "Validate and Repair"

    I haven't looked at this in a long time, I do remember a problem with it in the past where the sort wasn't working right, but when I checked it just now it works fine for me:


    I even changed the register date on one transactions to prove that it is in fact sorting on the posting date note the register date.

    Note the ability to sort on ay column in the reconcile window has been in there for many years now.

    I am having the same issue I get paper statements and would love the simple sort order for the posting date to work properly I'm on version R37.66

    Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community, however, since this is an older post that was originally created back in February of 2021, it is less likely to receive an answer now.

    I would suggest creating a new post for better visibility and to potentially receive responses from other users who may currently be experiencing the same problem. Doing so will also assist us with better tracking ability in the event that this issue may result in an escalation being required.
