I set up a new account today and when trying to open original (older) account everything comes back as sanitized? I need to see my original account file....????

    It sounds like you are referring to a file rather than a single account within a file, correct?

    Might you have inadvertently click the Sanitize File in the Help menu?

    If so, I'd suggest you click menu File > Show "filename" in Finder so that you have its location open in the Finder to be deleted later. Then go back to Quicken's File menu and click the Open Recent item. You should see your regular file listed there and you can re-open it. Once you have your regular file open, go back to the Finder and delete the Sanitized version.
