Why must I enter my password for EACH transaction?

I am trying to enter monthly transactions and I am asked for my password for each entry

    Options
    If you have set a transaction password with a date on today or later, then you are going to be asked it for every transaction you add or change.
    File -> Set Password to modify transactions...
