I currently use Quicken deluxe for Mac but I am interested in the Premier edition, I am not sure if it will offer any benefit for me. Is there a way to do a 7-day trial, I would like to test drive before committing to a purchase.

Also will quicken ever release a home/business edition for mac users ??

The only real differences between Deluxe and Premier on the Mac side are (1) QuickPay/CheckPay included (12 and 5 transactions per month respectively) and (2) access to Premier support which puts you at the top of the support queue when you call.

Here is the comparison chart: https://www.quicken.com/product-selector  However, note that there are some inaccuracies in the chart wrt to QMac.

Normally upon purchase, there's a 30 day MBG policy: https://www.quicken.com/support/Terms-and-Conditions-For-Exchanging-Canceling-or-Refunding-Quicken-Products  I'm not sure if this would apply to an upgrade then downgrade situation.

That said, if you want to try QuickPay/CheckPay for a month, you could sign up as an add-on and then cancel if you don't like it. https://www.quicken.com/support/quicken-bill-manager-how-many-payments-can-i-make-each-month If you do like it, then cancel the add-on and upgrade. But be aware of the transaction quantity limitations noted in the link.

Most banks provide the ability to pay bills and send checks on their website. The added convenience of initiating such transactions from within Quicken may or not be worth it to you. Some banks also provide bill pay through their Direct Connect link to Quicken. Some banks provide this for free; other charge extra for it. If your bank does (for free or cheaper than QuickPay/CheckPay), then that would make QP/CP unnecessary.

You used to also be able to sign up for Premium Support as a separate add-on subscription. I'm not sure if that's still available.

Regarding H&B for Mac: probably not for quite a while. The dev team has indicated their desire to bring QMac fully into parity with QWin and that process is (slowly) moving along. But there's a long way to go. It's not a simple process of just porting the software over from Windows to Mac. The underlying dev environments are totally incompatible. So any QWin features added to QMac have to be developed from the ground up.

Nothing. QMac Deluxe and Premier are identical with regard to investing. I believe on the QWin side, there are some investing differences between Deluxe and Premier, but that doesn't matter to QMac.
