How do I add a utilities (other or city) to this version of Mac quicken? I currently have utilities main category and only subcategory for electric as an option. There is not drop down to add another category in the budget menu. Thank you for your help.

First, do you have other subcategories under Utilities? AFAIK you can't create new spending categories & subcategories from the Budget screen, you can only add or remove the ones you already have.

To change the categories included in your budget, open the Budget window & select Edit Budget in the upper left. Then in the lower left of the edit window, click the Edit Categories button. Click on the Expenses tab & you can select which spending categories are displayed in your budget.

To create new spending categories, open the Categories window (shift-command-C). There are + and - buttons in the lower left to create & delete categories.
