Quicken crashing during updates

    I am sorry to hear that you are having this problem with Quicken crashing during updates. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us here on the Quicken Community about this issue.

    How often do you save backups? You can do this anytime by going to File > Copy or Backup File in the upper menu at the top of the screen. I recommend doing this often while operating the Quicken software, as it is key to resolving a number of issues as well as preserving your data. 

    When did you first notice this issue? If possible, try to restore from a backup saved just prior to this point in time by going to File > Restore a Backup File in the same menu mentioned previously.

    Restoring to before 2/11 which was just prior to the upgrade to R38 seems to have resolved it
