Cannot download now from multiple banks

Options
I've been having issues with download for Capital One, CIT and other banks since the beginning of the year after working flawlessly for years. Is there a roadmap for addressing these issues because frankly I'm very sick of dealing with it. I've been using Quicken since at least 1997 and now I'm finally at the point of researching alternatives.

    Hello @BeeSee,

Thank you for contacting the Quicken Community, though I truly do apologize that you are experiencing these errors.

Do you receive any sort of error code or message when attempting to do a One Step Update or when individually updating the accounts? What is the Connection Method you are using with these accounts? You can see the Connection Method by navigating to the Tools menu in the upper left and then selecting Account List. Click Edit next to your account, then choose the Online Services tab at the top.

First, I suggest creating a test file and then adding some of the accounts where the transactions are not downloading to see if the same error occurs. It is recommended to save a backup before proceeding with troubleshooting steps in the event that you need to get back to your starting position. Below are instructions on how to create a test file:

    1. Choose File menu > New Quicken File.

    1. Select New Quicken File.

    1. Click OK.
    2. In the File name field, enter the name of the new file, then click Save. Use a name like "Test File" to tell it apart from your main file.

Don't use any of these characters: * ? < > | " : \ / (asterisk, question mark, left and right-angle bracket, pipe, straight quotation marks, colon, BACKSLASH, FORWARD SLASH). Also, don't add the .qdf extension; Quicken does that for you.

    1. Sign in with your Quicken ID. If you are prompted to create a Quicken ID but already have one, click Sign In under the Create Account prompt.

Advanced Data File Troubleshooting to Correct Problems With Quicken for Windows

    1. Select to not use Mobile.
    2. Click Add Account to start adding accounts to the new file.

After adding accounts, see if you are experiencing the same problems in this test file.

Please let me know how this goes, I look forward to hearing your response.

    Hello @BeeSee,

Thank you for your response and for attempting the test file.

Due to the errors not occurring in the test file, I recommend restoring from a backup that was created before this error began to occur.

You may follow this link here for a Support Article that discusses saving and restoring from backups.

Please let me know how this goes, I look forward to hearing your response.
