Restoring a Backup file

after restoring a backup file such as a backup file created/modified on Feb 1, 2022, the register still shows entries done after Feb 1st. the only visible change to the register is the Reconciled column does not have the "R" symbol after the entry. Why would a QDF-backup file show any entries AFTER the modified date? Shouldn't the entries stop after the modified date?

    Asked a different way, are you using QMobile or QWeb?

    No Cloud for me. Local PC only.

    No QMobile or QWeb. Using current R 39.23 version. Build 27.1.39.23

    I have called Quicken Support 3 times and talked to 3 different techs with no success. One actually said
    " We have no idea. We don't have a software program to check to see what the problem could be." Disappointing.

    If you had any active "Auto" reminders in your backup file, and their dates have passed, those reminders would appear, uncleared, in the appropriate registers. This is a hazard of restoring a backup.

    Two Q&A -
    1 - are you sure your performed the Restore over the existing QDF file - and NOT create a Copy to another QDF file ?
    2 - did you have any future dated entries in the register - like upcoming payments or deposits - posting after Feb 1 ?

    Restored over existing file. No future dated entries or upcoming payments or deposits.

    Are the accounts in question setup with Express Web Connect?

    Express Web Connect is "sync", and as such after a restore it can sync transactions down from your Quicken Cloud dataset.

    Didn't use Express Web Connect. Manually set up the accounts.
