Shortcut for entering current balance in calculation

I keep up with some of my assets manually by looking at an estimated current value over time and making an adjustment transaction to track changes. What I'm currently doing is taking the current balance of the account and calculating that against the current value to get the adjustment amount.

What I'm looking to see is if there is a shortcut to enter the current balance amount?

    Yes, on the Accounts menu, select the Adjust Account Balance menu choice. Enter the balance you want it to be, click the Balance Adjustment radio button, and click Add Transaction. Quicken will do the math you're currently doing manually.  :)
