How do I subtotal within a report.

    Can you be more specific? What would you like a subtotal of? What kind of report are you looking for (transactions, summary, etc)?

    In a general report sometimes I want to see a subtotal in different areas, payee, tag, catagory. Same report, just various formats.

    If you click on the Report section, then on Transaction in the left column, you will see options for Transaction by Account/Category/Payee/Tag. I think those are what you're looking for. After the report comes up, click the Edit button to change the date range and further limit the Accounts, Categories, Payees or Tags that are included.

    You can't specify fields to subtotal on. But you can control subtotals to some  extent based on how you build a report. It would help for you to give an example of what type of report you're wanting to create, and we can advise if there's a way to get there or not.
