FAQ: What Are Common Acronyms Used In Quicken And On These Forums?

I see a lot of acronyms on this site, what do they all mean?

Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

    Here are some of the commonly used acronyms and their meanings.

    DC - direct connect, a download method
    EULA - end user license agreement
    EWC - Express web connect, a download method
    FAQ - frequently asked question
    FI - financial institution
    OP - original poster or the original post
    OS - operating system
    OSU - one step update
    QE or QEM - Quicken Essentials for Mac
    QW - Quicken for Windows (often with year appended, QW2014)QM - Quicken for Mac (often with year appended, QM2007)
    SMF - single mutual fund
    SU - superuser
    WC - web connect, a download method
    YEC- year-end copy
    QMAC- Quicken for Mac
    QWIN- Quicken for Windows




    Non-Quicken acronyms that you may also see elsewhere online

    AFAIK- as far as I know

    And QE = Quicken Essentials for Mac

    I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

    I recommend just editing the Answer to add additional acronyms, I think that will keep it neater :-).
